1- Inclusive- Means that you are including the speaker into a ‘group inside of a group’.
2- Exclusive- Means that you are creating a ‘group inside of a group’ without including yourself.
3- 4th person- Someone or Something that is not present and/or may not exist (Bigfoot, aliens, God, etc….)
4- 4th person singular- it is broken down into the three different genders, the same as 3rd person, but fourth person singular is the only form of 4th person to have separated genders.
5- 4th person plural - a general blanket statement or a specific group of people, either the THEY is unknown or you specify the people involved i.e. bobby, virginia, and frank went to the mall, THEY bought shoes.
6. 4th person exclusive- a GROUP that shares one, or more, thing(s) in common. i.e. (women, men, it(s), Catholics, Klan members, Beetles fans, etc…) I’m not going to Philadelphia for a home sporting event because of the fans. Yeah THEY (Philly fans) are crazy.
7. 5th person- talking in generalities. If ONE wanted to make a pizza, these are the steps YOU would take…. If someone wants to fight me, you can tell THEM to come and get some. (Some overlap between Fourth Person Plural and Fifth Person Plural, the difference is if you are giving them a suggestion or command(5th) or not(4th).
